NATIONAL UPDATES:

1. Government reduces toll charges by up to 50% on national highways with bridges, tunnels: The government has amended the NH Fee Rules, 2008, introducing a new formula that effectively reduces toll rates by up to 50% on national highway sections featuring structures like tunnels, bridges, flyovers, or elevated roads, helping motorists save on travel costs. Under the revised rules, tolls will be calculated based on the lesser of two lengths: ten times the total length of structures or five times the total length of the highway section, significantly lowering user charges for highways with long structural stretches.
